Just wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy New Year. 2001 was a busy year for TLG. Outside of doing over 300 gigs, the group managed to record it's first record!! I also managed to do my first trip to England to do some playing, and am hoping to be back across the pond in early Spring of 2002. Well, the CD Release Party is this Friday. The band is rehearsed and ready for action. Joining me this very special night will be Max Murray on bass, Mike Noonan on marimba and piano, Todd Harrison on drums and percussion, and Chris Bacas on tenor and soprano sax and flute. We will be playing the complete record that evening. It looks to be a truly special event. It appears as though it will be a SELL OUT!!! Less than 50 tickets remain for the show. So if you haven't gotten those seats yet, you may want to hurry down tomorrow to the box office and pick a few up before they are gone. Or, use the added convenience of ordering online at www.tomlagana.net. Click on CD RELEASE PARTY for more info. Just this past Sunday, Michael Buckley of WRNR featured Tom and Max in duo performance. It was a great experience, one of which I hope some fans were able to hear. Incidentally, if you missed the show, Tom will be interviewed on Thursday night at 9pm by Andy Bienstock of WJHU 88.1FM. If you are unable to get the station on your FM dial, stream it directly from their site at www.wjhu.org. Look for Tom to be doing other interviews on WPFW 89.3FM with Tom Cole. Details to follow this week, and of course check www.tomlagana.net for all the info. Mr. Cole hosts a highly respected jazz show on Sunday mornings called "G-string." Next | Previous
