Again Lagana teams up with bassist Tom Baldwin and tenor/soprano sax player George Garzone. It is also the first recording to feature the newest band member, Dominic Smith on drums. Drawing from a heavy Brazilian influence the recording is comprised of 11 tracks. Original compositions by Lagana, Baldwin, and Garzone as well as tunes by A.C. Jobim, Ary Barroso, Chick Corea and Jim Hall are featured on the recording.

Patuxent Album Info
In early 2002, Tom Lagana released his first recording, Patuxent. After a sell out performance at the Ram’s Head Tavern National Showcase Mainstage, the CD began to climb the National Jazz Airplay charts, where it stayed for over nine consecutive weeks before peaking at 17th most-requested in the nation. At the same time, Patuxent was garnering over 370 spins a week on more than 50 radio stations across the country. In late September of 2002, Patuxent was placed in WICN of Worcester, MA’s “Ten Most Requested CD’s”.
